Katz, Manka, Teplinsky, Graves & Sobol, Ltd. was founded by A. Larry Katz in 1958. Larry Katz has been recognized as one of Minnesota's top family lawyers, was a charter member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and has been listed in all editions of Best Lawyers in America.® In a statewide survey of District Court judges in the 1980s, Larry Katz was voted the most prepared family lawyer in the state.

That commitment to excellence over the past fifty years has been passed on to his current partners, Brian Sobol, also a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, who currently assumes primary responsibility for much of our complex financial and custody litigation, and Kathryn Graves, similarly a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, who also has an extensive mediation practice; both of whom are regularly recognized by their peers as Super Lawyers ^® by Minnesota Law & Politics Magazine and Mpls. St. Paul Magazine. The firm's associate attorney, Naomi Garfinkel, represents the next generation of attorneys mastering our commitment to excellence.
